NEPSE down 0.13 percent on July 24

KATHMANDU, July 24 - The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) went down Thursday by 0.13 point. The sensitive index, on the other hand, saw an increase of 1.02 points.
The development bank sector posted a gain of 5.49 points. The banking sector rose 4.92 points and the finance sector went up 3.49 points. The hydropower sector, which was ascending yesterday, lost steam and fell by 7.62 points.

The share market witnessed a total turnover of Rs. 127.6 million with 251,327 shares being traded on Thursday.

Among the 22 commercial banks on NEPSE, Nabil Bank posted the biggest growth with its stock rising by 39 points while Standard Chartered Bank lost the most on the trading floor by shedding 55 points.

Similarly, among the 14 development banks whose shares were traded on NEPSE on Thursday, Infras tructural Development Bank witnessed the highest increase of 50 points while Pashupati Development Bank dropped 20 points.

Likewise, Annap-urna Finance Company was the highest gainer with an increase of 45 points. Goodwill Finance Company lost 25 points.

The top gainer on NEPSE was Infrastruc-tural Development Bank while Pashupati Develo-pment Bank was the top loser on NEPSE.
