Prudential Insurance announces 5%cash dividend

The 79th meeting of Board of Directors of Prudential Insurance Company Sunday decided to provide 5 percent cash dividend to its shareholders.

The company earned a net profit of Rs 10.7 million during fiscal year 2008/09, up by about 70 percent as compared to the profit reported last year, states a press release.

Premium collection by the company during the last fiscal year rose by 27 percent to Rs 137.2 million as compared to preceding fiscal year.
