Citizens’ International Bank in Butwal

KATHMANDU: Citizens’ International Bank inaugurated its 11th branch office in Butwal on Monday. According to a press statement, during the fiscal year 2008-09 the bank had a deposit of Rs 11.52 billion and floated loan of Rs 8.21 billion that posted a Rs 5.5 million operating profit. The bank will soon be distributing 10 per cent of its dividend to shareholders. — HNS

Public Development Bank (PDB) Profits

KATHMANDU: Public Development Bank (PDB) gained operating profit of Rs 10 million in the fiscal year 2008-09. Issuing a press statement on Monday, the bank said that it collected Rs 742.2 million and invested Rs 704.5 million. After the allocation of Rs 9,17,000 in bonus, Rs 1.54 million in income tax the bank has gained net profit of Rs 7.61 million. — HNS
